Working hours in Argentina

A normal working week in Argentina is 48 hours. Overtime should be compensated at a rate of between 150% and 200% of normal pay, depending on when the work is done. Overtime should not exceed 30 hours in any month.

Argentina vacation leave

The paid vacation allowance of employees in Argentina depends on their length of service with an employer. The allowance starters at 14 days after six months of service, then increases incrementally up to 35 days after 20 years of service.

Argentina sick leave

Employees in Argentina who have under five years of service are entitled to three months of paid leave. Beyond five years, they are entitled to six months of paid leave.

Parental leave in Argentina

Female employees in Argentina are entitled to 45 days of paid maternity leave before giving birth and 45 days after. Male employees are entitled to two days of paid paternity leave after their child’s birth.

Terminations and severance in Argentina

For employees in Argentina with under five years of service, employers must provide 15 days of notice prior to termination. Employees with more than five years of service are entitled to two months of notice.

Taxation in Argentina

Employers and employees in Argentina must contribute a percentage of salaries toward various social funds.

Employers must pay:

2.41% for labor insurance
6% for health insurance
