SALARY PAYMENT IN Swedish Krona (SEK, kr)

TIME TO HIRE 24 hours

Healthcare in Sweden

Healthcare in Sweden is among the best in the world, and it is mostly completely free to use for all residents. For care not covered by the standard insurance, employees contribute a maximum of SEK 420 per visit, up to a maximum of SEK 1,150/month.

Pensions in Sweden

In Sweden, employers and employees must both contribute toward employee pensions. Employers must pay 10.21% of employee salary toward pensions. This is part of the total employer social security contributions of 31.42% of salary.

Employees must pay 7% of their salary toward their pension fund, but this is almost always offset by a corresponding tax reduction.

Disability in Sweden

Sweden has extensive disability benefits available for residents. Employers fund part of the disability payment via contributions to the social security system (included in the 31.42% contributions).

Unemployment in Sweden

Employees in Sweden can voluntarily join an unemployment insurance fund, but it is not mandatory.
