Like many other highly developed economies, China has a set of strict labor laws that protect both employers and employees.
The statutory notice period in China is 30 days.
There is no requirement in China for employees to give a minimum notice period when resigning, unless such a stipulation exists in the employment contract. Still, one month’s notice is standard when an employee resigns.
Employers must pay employees 1 month salary as severance.
